Bricklayer — Washington County

Join our team: we are hiring a bricklayer in Washington County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Your main tasks: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb Pay around $15 per hour, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
