Ladle pourer — Luton

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Luton, England. You will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
