Rigger wanted in Kusilvak Census Area

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Kusilvak Census Area, Alaska. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces 4+ years on the tools preferred.
