Now hiring: we are hiring a falsework carpenter in Dillingham Census Area, Alaska. You will work on a busy high-rise construction site. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level The role involves: • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
