Car refinisher — Hancock County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a car refinisher in Hancock County, Illinois. Day to day you will apply body filler and block-sand to a smooth contour; mix and tint paint to match the customer's colour code; apply primer, base coat and clear coat with an HVLP spray gun; wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs; wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying; prime and seal bare metal to stop rust. You should have: • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $29 per hour, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
