Now hiring: we are hiring a moulder in Polk County, Florida. You will work at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings You will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale.
