Gantry crane operator wanted in Washington County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Washington County, Iowa. You will work at a precast concrete yard. On a typical shift you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity. What we are looking for: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes 4+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
