Vertical milling machine operator • Jones County, Iowa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Jones County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe You should have: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges We offer $18 per hour plus benefits.
