Sample machinist — Westmoreland County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. On a typical shift you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus 6+ years on the tools preferred.
