Great opportunity: we are hiring a hand presser in Hardin County, Illinois. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Your main tasks: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number Six days a week, one day off.
