Foundry worker • Northampton County, Virginia

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Northampton County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
