The role involves mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors. Requirements: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
