Vacancy available: rough terrain crane operator (Iowa)

Now hiring: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in Decatur County, Iowa. You will be based on a bridge and infrastructure project. Day to day you will help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
