Foundry worker — Ungogo

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Ungogo, Kano State. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day to day you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 4+ years on the tools preferred.
