Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Dickenson County, Virginia. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $5,200 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
