Brick and block layer — Ward County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ward County, North Dakota. You will be based on a busy housing site. Day-to-day duties: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Six days a week, one day off. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
