Vacancy available: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Elk County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a road and highway construction project. Your main tasks: • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient Requirements: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
