Horizontal milling machine operator — Brown County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Brown County, Minnesota. You will work at an automotive components factory. What we are looking for: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
