Oven operator — Darke County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an oven operator in Darke County, Ohio. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. Your main tasks: • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream Ideal candidate: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen 2+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $2,900 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
