Steam press operator — Orleans County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Orleans County, New York. You will be based at a garment factory. You will clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; give each garment a final press before packing; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
