Foundry operative — Petroleum County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Petroleum County, Montana. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Pay around $5,100 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
