Flatlock machine operator • Ionia County, Michigan

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Ionia County, Michigan. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently The role involves meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
