Great opportunity: we are hiring a dogger in Macon County, North Carolina. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals We offer $160 per day plus benefits.
