The role involves work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly; swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse. Ideal candidate: • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat 5+ years on the tools preferred.
