Die-casting operator • Jo Daviess County, Illinois

Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Six days a week, one day off. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
