Immediate opening: sheet metal press operator (England)

Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in County Durham, England. The role involves: • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed You should have: • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts 1+ years on the tools preferred.
