Core maker — Chattooga County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Chattooga County, Georgia. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. 6+ years on the tools preferred. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
