Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry worker in Ray County, Missouri. The role involves: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
