Flatlock machine operator — Linn County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Linn County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Rotating shifts.
