Now hiring: we are hiring a laundry presser in Isiala-Ngwa North, Abia State. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Your main tasks: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
