Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Laurens County, Georgia. You will be based on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills 2+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
