Brick and block layer — Herkimer County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Herkimer County, New York. The job is on a busy housing site. The role involves: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Rotating shifts.
