Immediate opening: brickwork mason (New York)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Rensselaer County, New York. On a typical shift you will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Overtime paid at a premium rate.
