Presser — Bremer County

Now hiring: we are hiring a presser in Bremer County, Iowa. The job is at a dry cleaner's. Day to day you will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; give each garment a final press before packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching. You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Pay around $4,400 per month, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
