Sewing machine operator — Luzerne County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance On a typical shift you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
