Restoration bricklayer • Nueces County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Nueces County, Texas. The job is on a new-build development. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage On the job you will handle: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Six days a week, one day off. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
