Bakery assistant — Terrebonne Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. Your main tasks: • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Score the top of loaves before baking Ideal candidate: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving $7,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
