Groundworker — Wood County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundworker in Wood County, Wisconsin. You will be based on a road and bridge project. What we are looking for: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker On the job you will handle: • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
