The role involves clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) 4+ years on the tools preferred.
