Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Yellowstone County, Montana. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry On the job you will handle: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Pay around $3,400 per month, based on your experience.
