Canteen cook — Cavalier County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a canteen cook in Cavalier County, North Dakota. You will be based at a fast-food outlet. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking Day-to-day duties: • Manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service • Knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha • Follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
