Structural MIG welder — Cullman County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Cullman County, Alabama. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
