Immediate opening: machinist (Wisconsin)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Lincoln County, Wisconsin. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Day to day you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
