We are recruiting: argon welding operator (Virginia)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in City of Norfolk, Virginia. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. The role involves: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Full-time, day shift.
