Machinist — Mitchell County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Mitchell County, North Carolina. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. You will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. You should have: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Full-time with occasional weekends.
