Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Perkins County, Nebraska. The role involves mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Meals and transport allowance provided.
