Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Imperial County, California. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle 6+ years on the tools preferred. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
