Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Mesa County, Colorado. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
