Metal caster — Houston County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Houston County, Alabama. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On the job you will handle: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Six days a week, one day off.
