Argon welding operator — Jefferson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Jefferson County, Missouri. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Your main tasks: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $3,400 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
